Position Summary:
The Laborer/Groundman position is an entry-level position in the construction, maintenance and repair of foundations for primarily distribution, transmission & substation systems.

Essential Functions:
- Able to perform heavy physical labor including excavation and concrete work
- Works as part of a crew-teamwork
- Assist as required in all manual labor aspects of the project as directed by supervisor, crew leader, foreman, etc.
- Operate construction equipment
- Handle physically demanding construction duties

Other Requirements:
- Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Work is performed outside and includes exposure to extreme cold, heat inclement weather & noise.
- Willing to work in various locations across the state/country and for extended periods, when required.
- Must be able to follow Company safety rules and all other Company policies.
- CDL is not required but a plus; Valid Driver's license required
- Willing to submit and pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to perform all assigned tasks in a safe and effective manner
- Ability to understand and communicate information and work in a team environment
- Able to stoop, kneel, crouch, dig, climb and reach
- Able to lift, carry and place heavy objects
- Must have acceptable MVR
