Details
The Sanitary Sewer Infiltration and Inflow department (I&I) is tasked with cleaning, televising and evaluating the City’s sanitary system; performing rehabilitation of the sanitary sewer infrastructure, administering the Private Property I&I Reduction Program, monitoring the work of contractors, performing operation and maintenance of the sanitary sewer infrastructure. The I&I Information Technician is a mid-level position and serves as the lead person for collecting, reviewing and entering data from private property and providing guidance and assistance to contractors and property owners. The I&I Information Technician may, as directed, be assigned to assist a crew in the performance of field work.
As a public employee this position is responsible for providing reliable delivery of utility services. This position requires consistent and prompt response to emergency repairs that occur outside of normal working hours.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Valid class B CDL with tanker endorsement or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
Minimum of three years of experience in the Underground Utilities or other closely related experience (construction, plumbing, HVAC, electrical or similar) is desirable.
Proficient in the use of computers, networks and related equipment.
Strong background in Microsoft Office using Word, Excel, Access and Power Point programs.
Strong verbal, written and organizational skills.
Possession or the ability to possess an Ohio EPA Class I Collection license within 18 months of hire.
Possession or the ability to possess a NASSCO PACP, MACP AND LACP certification within 18 months of hire.
Maintain residency as required by the City.
