Description
The Clinic Supervisor manages and coordinates the daily operations and staff at the assigned clinic, ensuring exceptional patient care and service in collaboration with the Practice Manager and/or Clinic Operations Director/VPs. This role ensures compliance with all regulatory standards and internal policies and procedures. The Clinic Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining efficient clinic operations while providing vital support to clinic staff, including Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
Requirements
- Supervises assigned staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, adhering to necessary forms and procedures.
- Supports clinic workflow and scheduling to meet productivity standards.
- Implements clinic policies and procedures consistently and promptly.
- Assists in evaluating employee performance, recommending merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions, and participates in staff interviews, training, and orientation.
- Ensures office space and supplies are properly provided and maintained.
- Attends required meetings and participates in committees as needed.
- Ensures that personnel forms and records are updated and submitted to relevant departments in a timely manner.
- Supports the onboarding process to ensure new staff are properly equipped and ready.
- Coordinates staff activities and serves as a resource to medical management teams across various markets.
- Assists in collecting clinic performance and quality metrics, preparing reports for management.
- Orders and maintains adequate stock of office and medical supplies at all times.
- Collaborates with Operations leadership in budget preparation and ensuring budget adherence.
- Coordinates conference calls and helps prepare for meetings with medical management staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Education, Experience & Skills
- 1 year in a supervisory role
- 2 years in a customer service role
- 2 years of clinic operations or healthcare experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
- Knowledge of organization policies and procedures and ability to apply principles to solve everyday problems in a variety of situations
- Knowledge of office management techniques and practices
- Skill in gathering, analyzing, and evaluating data
- Skill in written and verbal communication
- Ability to exercise initiative, problem solving, decision-making
- Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities
- Good communication and customer service skills
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills
- Current State Vocational Nurse License or LPN
- Professional healthcare license or certification preferred
Key physical and mental requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push or pull heavy objects using up to 50 pounds of force
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to use fine motor skills to operate office equipment and/or machinery
- Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing
