Are you a Logistics Coordinator looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious individual to join our team at Southeast Building Supply Interests as a Transportation Specialist.
In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting building materials to customer locations, job sites, and SBSI branches.
To be successful in this position, you must have a valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and 2 years of commercial driving experience in the building materials, construction, or logistics industries.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Safely operating a CDL A commercial vehicle (flatbed, tractor-trailer, or boom truck)
- Ensuring compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies
- Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and operational readiness
- Securing loads properly using appropriate tie-downs, tarps, and straps
You will also provide exceptional customer service by delivering products accurately and in excellent condition.
In addition to your driving responsibilities, you will assist with warehouse operations when needed, including loading/unloading materials, organizing inventory, and performing basic vehicle maintenance.
