Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider to join our dynamic healthcare team. The Southeast Indiana Health Center is a "free clinic" that provides free healthcare to individuals with a financial need who are without insurance or who have a high deductible. The clinic sees a variety of patients each week with acute and chronic medical conditions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high quality healthcare to the uninsured or underinsured in the community. The Advanced Practice Provider will work collaboratively with nurses, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. We are looking for someone to cover one evening shift per week onsite at the clinic in Batesville, IN.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Prescribe medications and perform procedures as necessary, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Provide health coaching and education to patients and their families regarding treatment options and preventive care.
- Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed based on clinical findings.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters in compliance with clinic policies.
- There is no billing involved in this position!
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant from an accredited institution.
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with Indiana licensure.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Commitment to providing compassionate care and promoting health education among diverse populations.
- DEA NOT required.
