They orient members to the equipment and use of the facility and update member’s exercise prescriptions as needed while monitoring participation for retention purposes. Qualifications
- Required Education:
- Bachelors degree in fitness, health, or sports related field or experience in lieu of degree as outlined below is required.
- Preferred Education:
- Experience:
- 1 year experience is preferred for those meeting degree requirements. In lieu of degree, 4 years of relevant experience will be considered.
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required within 90 days of hire.
- Certification from a nationally recognized institution including but not limited to one of the following is required:
- CES (Corrective Exercise Specialist)
- PES (Performance Enhancement Specialist)
- GPT (Group Personal Training Specialist)
- ACSM (American College Sports Medicine)
- ACE (American Council of Exercise)
- NASM (National Academy Sports Medicine
- CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist)
- Crossfit
- ISSA (International Sports Science Association)
