Position Details
Patient Care Tech - Emergency Department
Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO
Status: Full-Time
Shift: 36 Hours Per Week
Qualifications
- PCT/NT Experience: CNA, EMT, Paramedic or Previous Patient Care Experience.
- PCA/PCT Required Education: High school diploma, G.E.D
- PCA/PCT Preferred Education: CNA/CPTC. or enrolled in a healthcare career program through their high school curriculum, and/or a current co-worker of Mercy.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course required within one month of hire. Completion of PCA competencies within 3 months of hire.
- Minimum Physical Requirements for all UAP roles:
- Positions require individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Positions require prolonged standing and walking each shift.
- Positions require the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
