Southeast Forest Products is seeking multiple General Laborers to join our new Louisville Sawmill facility. We are looking for dependable, motivated workers who are dedicated to safety, teamwork, and professionalism. We pride ourselves on being an innovative leader in the lumber industry and seek to add only the best to our growing team.
Job Responsibilities
- Sorting and stacking lumber products onto carts using physical leverage
- Straightens lumber on a conveyor to align lumber for grading and eventual shipments;
- Shovel wood chips and cleans work area, using broom and shovel. Maintains clean and safe work area.
- Learn to operate various machinery and complete preventative maintenance as scheduled on assigned equipment;
- Some climbing and crawling may be involved associated with work tasks;
- Able to work overtime and weekends in all-weather conditions.
- Filling out daily paperwork using a smartphone, laptop, or computer device.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
- Completely and accurately fill out daily paperwork
- Follow all Safety Programs, Policies and Procedures
- Must have valid driver's license
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and random drug tests after hiring
