What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake Specialist position at Southeast Corrections?
Job Responsibilities: The Intake Specialist assists Probation Officers and Probation Supervisors in the intake process by attending court and interviewing probationers. This position is also responsible for data entry of new cases. This position will also assist in the service and filing of probation documents with the court, clerk and sheriff's department.
Ideal Candidate: Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and computer skills. Possess excellent customer service skills. The ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment; ability to adapt to constant change; and the ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.
Must pass a Criminal Background check. Also, a drug screen will be required.
Education/Experience: Possess the formal education equivalent of a High School Diploma or GED, plus one year of experience in performing administrative or management support responsibilities. Associates Degree preferred, but not required.
