Role Description The UPWARD Lab Assistant, Volunteer role is a full-time, on-site position located at the Lincoln, NE campus. This role supports laboratory instruction and activities by preparing materials, setting up equipment, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe lab environment. The volunteer assists with basic laboratory procedures under supervision, helps monitor adherence to safety protocols, and supports quality control checks on lab processes and supplies. Day-to-day tasks may include calibrating and cleaning laboratory equipment, labeling and storing samples or materials, and recording observations or simple data. The Lab Assistant also collaborates with instructors and staff, offers general support to students during lab activities, and communicates clearly about any issues or needs in the lab.
