Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other yard equipment with proper certification.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring materials are handled safely.
- Assist customers with material selection, loading, and product inquiries.
- Maintain accurate inventory by properly stocking, organizing, and rotating materials.
- Perform basic yard maintenance to ensure a safe and organized work environment.
- Follow safety guidelines and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Assist in coordinating deliveries and shipments as needed.
- Provide guidance and training to Material Handler I employees.
- 1-3 years of experience in a yard, warehouse, or construction-related environment.
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain one within the first 60 days).
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in outdoor environments.
- Basic knowledge of building materials and their applications is a plus.
- Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
