An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the duties which an employee may be expected to perform. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
1. Perform diagnostic analysis of breakdowns and make the necessary repairs to get the machine back in normal operating condition. Perform routine PMs to Heavy Equipment including, but not limited to, dozers, compactors, excavators, rock trucks and other equipment that supports the operations of the landfill.
2. Schedules equipment maintenance and repairs with outside contractors when necessary due to warranty requirements or complexity of repair.
3. Weld in order to make certain repairs to equipment.
4. May be called upon to help with maintenance of building, facilities, and structures on landfill property.
5. May operate Heavy Equipment if needed.
6. Completes all projects in accordance with established standards for quality, efficiency, and safety.
7. Participates in and attends all safety meetings. Adheres closely to all safety policies, procedures, and best practices in order to maintain a safe workplace for everyone.
