Field Service Technician - Prestonsburg KY

Job Description

As a Field Service Technician with Southeast Banking Systems (SBS), you will be a part of a team of distributed field service technicians. You will perform all necessary break-fix service on equipment such as: access control, alarm systems, 2-way audio, CCTV, ATMs, pneumatic tube systems, and other bank equipment. You will serve as the primary customer contact for service, and be responsible for providing great customer service and fostering good relationships with customers. This position will be based out of the employee’s home (preferably located in or near Prestonsburg, KY) and will require providing service to customer locations throughout Eastern Kentucky (typically a 1.5 hr driving radius around Prestonsburg). Overnight travel would not be expected. This is a full-time permanent position.

Primary duties include:

· Installing and maintaining security and bank equipment

· Providing customers with friendly, professional, and efficient service

· Creative and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot and repair complex electronic and mechanical equipment

· Supporting other technicians and working as a team on complex problems

· Accurately reporting service data, inventory management, expenses, and time through phone apps

· Completing preventive maintenance inspections

· Establishing relationships of trust and friendliness with each customer location

· Maintaining effective communication with sales team and office team members

· Developing working knowledge of all equipment, operating standards, practices, and procedures. Pursuing continuing training opportunities.

· Proactive and independent management of all job responsibilities and customers

· Represent Southeast Banking Systems through professional competency and care

Experience and Qualifications Required

· Between 2 and 30 years of technical service and installation experience on low-voltage security equipment such as alarm, access control, or video surveillance systems, and/or financial equipment such as ATMs and pneumatic tube systems - preferably in financial, healthcare, education, or government facilities.

· Valid driver’s license and safe driving record

· High-school diploma or GED

· Computer and smart phone literate

· Ability to lift and move heavy loads, stand most of the day, climb, bend and stoop while working on equipment

· Acceptance of exposure to the outside elements

· Ability to be on-call on weekends and holidays on rotational basis (for additional pay)

· Exceptional customer service relationship skills are needed

· Ability to organize and manage truck based inventory, stock parts, and tools

· Sense of urgency, organizational skills, professional presence and work in team environment

· Ability to pass driving, background and drug tests

· Pay will be hourly based on experience. Eligible for overtime at 1.5x.
