Job Description: The Recruitment and Student Success Coordinator provides strategic leadership for student recruitment, enrollment, academic advising, and retention initiatives at Southeast Arkansas College. This position is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive recruitment and advising programs that support enrollment growth, student success, persistence, and completion. The Coordinator supervises recruitment and advising staff, cultivates partnerships with schools and community organizations, and collaborates across campus to ensure a seamless student experience from initial inquiry through graduation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership and Management• Provide leadership, supervision, training, and evaluation for recruitment and advising staff.
• Develop departmental goals, objectives, and assessment measures aligned with the College's strategic plan.
• Monitor performance metrics related to enrollment, retention, persistence, and graduation.
• Prepare reports and presentations regarding recruitment and advising outcomes.
• Manage departmental budgets and resources.
Recruitment and Enrollment Management
• Develop and implement strategic recruitment plans to increase student enrollment.
• Coordinate outreach efforts with area high schools, career centers, community organizations, and workforce partners.
• Represent the College at recruitment events, college fairs, community functions, and other outreach activities.
• Oversee campus tours, preview days, orientation programs, and special enrollment events.
• Utilize CRM and student information systems to manage prospective student communications and recruitment efforts.
• Establish and maintain partnerships that enhance student recruitment opportunities.
Academic Advising and Student Success
• Provide leadership for academic advising services and ensure students receive accurate, timely guidance regarding educational planning and degree completion.
• Develop advising procedures and training programs to promote consistent, high-quality advising practices.
• Monitor student academic progress and implement intervention strategies for at-risk students.
• Collaborate with faculty, Financial Aid, Admissions, Registrar, Career Services, TRIO, and other departments to support student success.
• Oversee early alert and retention initiatives designed to improve persistence and completion rates.
• Ensure advising practices align with institutional policies, academic requirements, and transfer pathways.
Collaboration and Community Engagement
• Serve as a liaison between the College and secondary schools, community agencies, employers, and workforce development partners.
• Work collaboratively with academic divisions to support enrollment and retention goals.
• Participate in institutional committees, strategic planning efforts, and accreditation activities.
• Foster a student-centered culture focused on access, equity, and student achievement.
Assessment, Compliance, and Reporting
• Collect, analyze, and report enrollment, advising, retention, and graduation data.
• Ensure compliance with institutional, state, federal, and accreditation requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to recruitment and advising activities.
• Utilize data to evaluate program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Working Conditions
• Combination of office, campus, and off-campus recruitment environments.
• Regular evening and weekend activities may be required.
• Frequent travel within the College service area.
• Ability to lift and transport recruitment materials up to 25 pounds.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in higher education recruitment, admissions, advising, enrollment management, or student services.
• Experience supervising staff and managing programs.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the College service area.
Preferred Qualifications
• Community college experience.
• Experience with enrollment management planning and retention initiatives.
• Knowledge of Arkansas higher education systems and transfer pathways.
• Experience utilizing CRM and student success technologies.
