Duties
- Assist with food preparation by chopping, assembling ingredients, and following recipes to ensure timely meal production
- Serve food with a smile and positive attitude to ensure great customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of dining room areas through regular sanitizing procedures and thorough cleaning routines
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables promptly and resetting dining spaces for new guests
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, mixers, and dishwashers, adhering to all food safety standards
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling protocols and sanitation procedures to prevent contamination
- Assist with dishwashing duties using commercial-grade equipment to ensure all utensils and cookware are spotless
- Support heavy lifting tasks such as moving supplies or bulk ingredients while following manual handling safety guidelines
Requirements
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation standards in a commercial kitchen environment
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including lifting heavy items when necessary
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with operating kitchen equipment are advantageous
- Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and adhering to health and safety standards
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to supporting kitchen operations and guest satisfaction
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings or weekends as needed
