We are a progressive and successful group of funeral service professionals looking for a qualified candidate to join our team as we expand into two new locations in the coming year on the Southcoast.
Our firm offers the best of both worlds, serving a high call volume in our service area while servings as one the regions premier trade service firms, in which you will be able to learn the ins and outs of funeral service from embalming, funeral directing, how to make arrangements with a licensed funeral director, the paperwork process, this is a position for someone who is looking to become a well rounded funeral professional. This position upon completion of apprenticeship may turn into a on staff licensed funeral director and embalmer for the right fit!
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various tasks to support the team and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Duties:
- Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals
- Assist in transferring decedents from place of passing to requested location.
- Maintains and ensures fleet vehicles are in compliance with company standards.
- Supports funeral services in an on-call status, day, evenings, nights, and overnights.
- Embalms under the direct supervision of Licensed Funeral Director
- Learns how to funeral direct under the direct supervision of Licensed Funeral Director
- Assists and works on wakes, funerals, memorial services to learn the trade of funeral directing.
- Learns the skills of cosmetics from a licensed funeral director
Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior experience in a similar role is a plus
- Enrolled or Plans to be enrolled in an accredited Mortuary School
- Ability to work on call, and respond to funeral home within 30 minutes of being paged.
- Sufficient driving record to be added to firm's insurance
