Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Police & Fire
Dispatcher role based in Southbridge, MA. The dispatcher receives and
prioritizes emergency and non-emergency calls for police, fire, and other
public safety services, obtaining essential information quickly and accurately.
The role involves dispatching appropriate units via radio and computer-aided
dispatch systems, monitoring responder status, and coordinating communication
between officers, firefighters, supervisors, and other agencies. The dispatcher
updates incident records in real time, accesses databases as directed, and
follows established protocols, policies, and confidentiality requirements. The
position requires working scheduled shifts that may include nights, weekends,
and holidays, and maintaining composure and clear judgment under pressure.
