What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Sales Associate position at Southbridge Liquor?
We have an opening for a responsible and reliable part-time staff member. Fun, chill retail environment. This position is for primarily weekend shifts, Friday - Sunday, and potentially a couple of weekday evenings as needed. This is a part-time position for 2 - 3 shifts per week, 4 - 7 hour shifts, flexible 10-20 hours per week, we will try to work with your preference. Pay increase after 90 days. Typical shift times (can be flexible):
- Weeknight: 4-9pm
- Friday: 4-9pm, 5-10pm
- Saturday: 9am-3pm, 3-9pm, 4-10pm
- Sunday: 10am-5pm
Job requires general customer service skills, using a cash register, money handling, stocking shelves/walk-in cooler, inventory control, and age/ID compliance. Must be comfortable with working alone and performing closing procedures, and be very self-motivated. Must be at least 18 years old.
Responsibilities include:
- Greet and assist customers as they enter.
- Operate the cash register attentively, handling cash and credit transactions accurately.
- Stock shelves and coolers to maintain an orderly display, ensuring products are organized and accessible.
- Keep overstock organized and arranged properly.
- On delivery days, work product onto the floor and backstock the remainder in its correct area.
- Perform accurate store closing procedures and be responsible for small amounts of data entry at the end of the night.
