NOW HIRING | Lead Conveyor Belt Technician – San Antonio, TX
SouthBelt is looking for an experienced Lead Conveyor Belt Technician to help lead and grow our field service capabilities in the San Antonio and Central Texas market.
This is not an entry-level position. We’re looking for someone who knows conveyor belting, can take ownership of a job from start to finish, and can confidently lead a crew in the field.
What we’re looking for:
• Strong experience with heavyweight conveyor belting
• Experience performing hot vulcanized splices and mechanical splices
• Belt installation, replacement, repair, and troubleshooting experience
• Ability to lead and direct a field crew
• Ability to plan jobs, identify required tooling/materials, and communicate job needs
• Strong understanding of conveyor systems, pulleys, idlers, cleaners, lagging, and related components
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
• Willingness to travel throughout Central and South Texas as needed
• Ability to work shutdowns, overtime, nights, and weekends when customer schedules require it
The right person for this role is someone who can arrive at a customer site, understand the job, organize the crew, communicate professionally with the customer, and make sure the work gets completed safely and correctly.
