We are seeking an experienced Parts Associate to join our team. DealerTrack experience and prior dealership experience a plus!

Responsibilities
Receiving and processing all parts orders. Understand and control of parts inventory. Creating bin locations for new stock. Notify customer on parts arrival. Notify of shortage & damage discrepancies. Count accurately for parts inventory. Accurately read part numbers. Processing accessory kits. Prepare items for returns and shipping. Accurately placing parts in assigned bin locations. Separating orders for retail/wholesale/online/shop. Deliver parts to wholesale customers. Processing Warranty parts and returns. Keeping things in neat and orderly fashion. Accurately bill parts, including pricing, quantities, etc. Be able to work in a fast paced environment. Cleaning parts department areas, including mopping, sweeping, dusting, trash removal, cleaning entry doors, key machine, windows, shelves, etc. Be able to navigate parts diagrams. Assistant customers and businesses over the telephone. Be on time for work and maintain strong work attendance Ability to focus on job related tasks and be observant to department needs throughout the workday. Ability to work efficiently and prioritize tasks. Follow department directives, including dress code and refrain from frequently leaving the parts department. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Smoking/vaping on company property is only allowed in designated smoking areas and allowed only during permitted breaks during the workday. Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations applicable to industry Ensure accurate packaging of outbound parts orders and receipt of incoming parts. Fill, package and mark parts orders to meet delivery schedules; pick and pack orders for counter staff. Receive ordered parts and check items for damage, correct quantities, or back orders Help with stocking and posting orders upon arrival to expedite delivery. Assist parts drivers in loading and unloading parts and report low inventory to Parts Manager. Pull orders from printed packing slips for both customers and shop repair orders; handle core returns and help with physical inventory counts Load and unload stock merchandise. Maintain parts and supplies inventories in an organized manner, rotating or shifting stock as needed Prepare seasonal parts/accessories displays and warehouse shelves as directed. Order and ship emergency parts from vendors to customers Keep and maintain an organized and clean parts department. Staying up to date on sudden changes regarding the processes Maintain and organize retail merchandise Log and record warranty parts and allocate them in appropriate sections CORE Return processing Battery CORE relocation Work well with other parts department staff and assist others in the department with requested tasks. Embrace technological changes within the department. Learn, comprehend, and retain educational information regarding the parts department, its processes, etc. Be a strong team player and put the parts departments needs and success a top priority Wholesale advertising and marketing calls Bundling new car accessory packages, (floor mats, wheel locks, trunk trays, splash guards, plates, frames) Complete Honda training modules.
Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Parts experience (preferred)
- Prior dealership experience (preferred)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (including spelling, punctuation, etc.)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Positive attitude is a MUST
- Be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Be able to multi-task
- Assist retail customers and technicians
- Possess the ability to learn and retain information
- Be a team player
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Maintain an organized, orderly and clean work environment
- Ability to operate a forklift (preferred)
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
