Overview
Seeking a professional Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to operate a Class A semi truck and 53 foot dry van trailer
- Driver will run regionally mostly in Texas but also Missouri, Louisiana, New Mexico, Mississippi, Arkansas, Oklahoma
-Guaranteed 2000 miles a week but can run up to 2800 miles a week
-Pay 28%-30% gross of the load
-Schedule Monday through Friday with option to work Saturday
-Home every week
-Start would be May as soon as a week from now
-This role involves route driving, load and unload responsibilities, and ensuring timely deliveries across designated routes
-A strong focus on safety, compliance, and customer service is essential to succeed in this position.
Duties
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Plan and execute route driving schedules to meet delivery deadlines
- Maintain accurate logs of hours driven, deliveries made, and vehicle maintenance needs
- Adhere to all federal and state transportation regulations and company policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status or issues
- Assist in securing freight for transport to prevent damage during transit
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with necessary endorsements for the trailer types operated (just 53 foot dry van for now)
- 1 year experience required
- Pass background check, Motor Vehicle Check and DOT Physical
- Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and freight delivery
- Strong understanding of safety protocols (ELD) related to commercial driving and freight handling
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance
- No touch freight
