Qualifications
- Experience or strong interest in health, wellness, fitness, or related fields (e.g., group exercise, personal training, health education, or community health).
- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities, both in person and in writing.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to coordinate schedules, manage multiple tasks, and follow through on commitments.
- Demonstrated customer service skills, with a focus on creating welcoming, inclusive, and supportive experiences for members and program participants.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with the ability to collaborate, problem-solve, and adapt to changing program needs.
- Basic computer skills for email, scheduling, data entry, and reporting; experience with membership or program management systems is helpful.
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (or willingness to obtain within a defined timeframe); relevant wellness or fitness certifications are a plus.
- Previous experience in a YMCA, community center, or similar nonprofit setting is beneficial but not required.
