Description: South Windsor Public Schools is seeking a long term substitute specialty program paraeducator at Timothy Edwards Middle School. This assignment will begin on December 1, 2025 and continue approximately through April 10, 2026
South Windsor is a diverse community of approximately 27,000 citizens and more than 5,100 public school students. SWPS is comprised of four elementary schools, one middle school (6-8), and one high school (9-12), all of which cultivate and support culturally responsive classrooms and learning communities. The ongoing work of our teachers and staff includes the creation of enriching experiences that expand the depth of knowledge for students beyond today's classroom in order to produce graduates with the 21st century skills needed to make them college or career ready.

Qualifications: Previous experience working with school age children in a special education program is desired. Assistance with toileting and lifting may be required. Applicant must possess an associate's degree, two years of college credits, or have passed the ParaPro exam.
Salary: $16.35 per hour, approximately 31.25 hours per week.
