Job Summary

Full-time/12 months Under general supervision, the Accounting Technician performs difficult and complex account, financial, and statistical record-keeping work including maintenance and general processing of functions such as accounts payable.

Requirements / Qualifications

* Proof of High School Diploma or equivalency is required. * Successful completion of accounting and/or business courses from an accredited college is highly desirable. * A minimum of three years of experience in the area of accounting. * Experience in school finance is highly desirable. The Immigration Reform and Control Act require the district to obtain documentation from every individual who is employed which verifies identity and authorizes their right to work in the United States. Appointment to this position predicated upon submitting a negative TB result and passing a district paid post-offer physical. In addition, the selected candidate must complete the state fingerprinting requirements and the district must receive clearance by the California Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation. Within three days of employment, all new employees shall show appropriate documents, which certify that they are legally eligible to work in the United States.
