Pay: Step 0: $30,704 annually ($21.10/hour); Step 15: $35,204 annually ($24.20/hour); Step 25: $38,204 annually ($26.26/hour)

The Role: Impact & Responsibilities
As an Educational Assistant, you will be a vital support partner, helping middle and high school students access the curriculum and develop key competencies. You won't just be assisting; you will be actively fostering an environment where students can thrive academically, behaviorally, and socially.
Key Responsibilities:

Instructional Support: Assist middle and/or high school students in accessing course content, ensuring they can engage with the curriculum alongside their peers.

Skill Development: Support the implementation of academic, behavioral, and/or independent living skills across various classroom settings.

Collaboration: Work side-by-side with classroom teachers to maintain a productive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Targeted Assistance: Provide individualized or small-group support to students, helping them navigate assignments and meet their learning goals.
Requirements

Education: High School Diploma.

Licensure: Valid New Mexico Level 3A Educational Assistant License and a valid New Mexico Substitute Teaching License.

Expertise: Ability to support students with diverse learning needs in middle/high school settings.

Compliance: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.

Soft Skills: Strong collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills.
