What are the responsibilities and job description for the Boys basketball coach- Middle School position at SOUTH UMPQUA SD 19?
Canyonville School has an opening for a Boys Basketball Coach for the 2026–2027 season.
Minimum qualifications:
Previous basketball coaching experience. Must meet certification requirements as established by the Oregon School Activities Association. Must be sufficiently skilled in coaching methods, injury prevention and technical/strategic knowledge. Playing background is desirable. Must hold a current first aid/CPR card. Ability to interact positively with school staff, students and parents.
Duties:
Direct and implement all phases of basketball program including, but not limited to, staff training, camps, program organization, and administration.

Salary per season- $3,892-$4,543 depending on experience
