What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interventional Pain Management Physician position at South Texas Spinal Clinic?

Description: We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Interventional Pain Management Physician to join our expanding team. This full-time outpatient position offers a balanced schedule of procedure days and consult days, Monday through Friday. You will have access to a high volume of internal and community referrals and the opportunity to work alongside orthopedic spine surgeons and other pain physicians in a collaborative care model.


Key Responsibilities:


·      Perform interventional pain procedures, including epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, and spinal cord stimulation

·      Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic pain conditions

·      Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans

·      Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

·      Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation


Qualifications:


·      MD or DO from an accredited medical school

·      Completion of an accredited residency in Anesthesiology or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)

·      Board-certified or board-eligible in pain medicine (American Board of Anesthesiology)

·      Fellowship training in pain medicine preferred but not required

·      Texas medical license and DEA certification (or eligibility to obtain)

·      Strong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills
