  • Greeting patients

  • Interviewing patients about medical histories and current symptoms
  • Preparing examination rooms for each patient and cleaning up after
  • Preparing patients for the physician’s exam
  • Assisting the physician with the physical exam
  • Getting vital signs
  • write notes on Electroencephalogram examinations
  • Instructing patients about procedures and treatments
  • Providing information to patients regarding prescribed diets or medications
  • Transmitting prescriptions and refills to pharmacies as instructed
  • Following up with patients after office visits or treatments

Summary

As a Medical Assistant, you will be essential in providing comprehensive patient care and administrative support within a healthcare setting. Reporting to the supervising physician or office manager, your core skills in medical terminology, patient service, and ECW systems will facilitate efficient patient intake and management. Your premium skills in Pediatric Neurology clinic will enhance our team’s ability to address diverse patient needs. Join us in making a difference in healthcare delivery.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in medical administrative support and patient service within a clinical setting.
  • Proficient in medical terminology and EHR systems.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology and vital signs monitoring.
  • Basic life support certification required.
  • Familiarity with intake processes and office management in a neurology clinic.
  • Experience in both inpatient and outpatient environments is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
