South Texas Community Living is hiring a Full-Time ICF/IDD (Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities) and/or HCS (Home Community Based Services) nursing coordination to individuals with intellectual disabilities in group home and natural home settings in the north/northwest area of San Antonio This RN position is similar to home health nursing, with some duties and documentation specific to meet the unique requirements of ICF and/or HCS regulations. Our program provides rewarding job experience for any Registered Nurse interested in promoting the independence of people with disabilities.
FT Shift(s): Monday – Friday Hours: 11:00AM – 7:00PM or 7:00AM-3:00PM
Registered Nurse Duties Include:
- Comprehensive and Focused Nursing Assessments
- Training of unlicensed personnel
- Medication management and administration
- Documentation of care for 6 hours per day
- Medical tasks and care
- Coordinating medication supplies, medical appointments, medical emergency management, over-the-phone triage, medication management and general nursing quality
- Narrative RN notes required for all tasks, approximately every 15 minutes
- Travel less than 15 miles to 2 group homes per day, office errand car available during your shift

Qualifications:
- Valid RN License Required
- Valid and current Texas Driver's License
- Clear Background Check
- Clear DMV Check
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Proof of Education
- No confirmation of Abuse/Neglect/Exploitation of an elderly or disabled person
- No history of Medicaid fraud.
- Experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (group home experience preferred)
- Strong communication and team-participation skills; friendly, positive attitude.
- General computer skills (not necessarily expert); be able to use Word, Excel, Outlook, and general internet navigation.
- Must have excellent time management skills.
- Must be capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
