Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY: The incumbent provides leadership in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of assessment practices to support student achievement and instructional effectiveness. The role applies advanced educational judgment to analyze student performance data, guide instructional decision-making, and support the alignment of assessment practices with curriculum and instructional goals. The incumbent serves as a subject matter expert in assessment systems and instructional alignment, supporting families, instructional staff, and leadership in the effective assessment practices and use of assessment data to improve student outcomes. This position exercises a high level of autonomy and is responsible for ensuring that assessment practices are implemented with fidelity, comply with applicable requirements, and meaningfully inform instruction across programs. The incumbent collaborates with instructional staff, leadership, and stakeholders to support assessment processes, provide training and guidance, and ensure that assessment activities are carried out effectively and in alignment with organizational and regulatory expectations. The incumbent is expected to remain calm under pressure, work cooperatively with team members and others to provide the highest level of service possible, and work in accordance with the Guiding Principles of the organization.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: - Application - Current Resume - Letter of Interest - Copy of Transcript - Credential Copy (Proof of a valid Teaching Credential is required.) Applications not accompanied with the above required materials will not be considered. Applications will be reviewed as they are received. To be considered for hire, candidates must meet the minimum requirements including a successful interview and successful reference checks. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of Tuberculosis (TB) tests every four years; and passing the relevant Department of Justice (DOJ) background review.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - Education: Bachelor’s degree. - Credentials/Certifications: Valid California teaching credential required. - Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of teaching or instructional experience, including experience using student performance data to inform instruction. Experience with California State Assessment systems, including knowledge of assessment requirements, data privacy, test security, and state or district-wide assessment platforms.
