What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Coordinator position at South Shore YMCA?
Join the South Shore YMCA as a Part-Time Afterschool Site Coordinator at the Laura Center for the Arts in Hanover! You will lead the planning and overall operation of a high quality afterschool program, serving participants, families, members, and volunteers while promoting YMCA core values and lifelong learning. Reports to the SACC Director.
Your Role Will Include:
- Program Management: Plan and run the afterschool site; maintain EEC licensing compliance and promote YUSA HEPA standards; provide reasonable accommodations for children with disabilities per EEC and ADA.
- Staff Engagement & Development: Supervise program staff and participants per YMCA policy, EEC regulations, and QRIS standards; monitor staff related EEC, QRIS, and YMCA requirements.
- Membership Engagement & Development: Build relationships with families, respond to inquiries, solve problems, and engage new families.
- Facility Management: Keep facilities and equipment safe, clean, and well maintained.
- Volunteer Development: Engage and work with volunteers.
- Community Involvement & Support: Assist with YMCA fundraising events and build community partnerships.
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must meet EEC requirements for experience with school-age children: 1 year with a high school diploma, 9 months with an Associate's degree, or 6 months with a Bachelor's degree.
- Knowledge and experience with EEC regulations and QRIS preferred.
- Builds positive working relationships with staff, children, families, volunteers, and school administrators; addresses family concerns professionally.
- Must meet EEC Educator PD requirements (PQ Registry). CPR and First Aid required and provided by the Y.
- Must pass background check: EEC background check including fingerprinting.
- Able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and join active and outdoor activities, including swimming.
Salary and Benefits:
- $18.00 to $22.00 per hour.
- Sick time accrual: 1 hour per 30 hours worked.
