What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Residential Manager *MAP Certification required position at South Shore Support Services?
Job Title: Assistant Residential Manager
Locations: Weymouth MA
Department: Home Support
Weekly Hours: 40 hours
Proposed Schedule: At minimum 20 hours regularly scheduled direct care shifts, 20 hours administrative. Must be available to work one weekend day per week.
Exempt or Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt
Essential Job Functions:
- Administer medication according to MAP guidelines.
- Weekly review and monitoring of medication administration documentation
- Weekly review of individual’s daily books and clinical records for completion and accuracy
- Review of daily shift notes and creation of monthly summaries
- Monitoring of ISP goals including progress on support strategies and shift note updates
- Attend and document medical or dental appointments for individuals supported as needed
- Assist all individuals served in accessing community resources by attending and transporting individuals served including but not limited to community resources, outings, medical appointments, etc.
- Assist banking with individuals
- Assist with weekly review of individual’s finances
- Assist with managing house petty cash funds
- Assist with weekly menu planning
- Assist with the weekly payroll processing
- Assist with the creation and implementation of weekly calendar
- Assist with creating the staff schedule
- Provide on call coverage as needed
- Assist with monthly staff supervision as needed
- Facilitate positive interactions with families and guardians
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- GED or High School diploma, College Degree or four years’ experience required
- Ability to record data using a computer, enter time worked into an electronic system and receive and send email required. Microsoft
- Ability to speak and write English clearly and accurately in order to keep documentation up to date and understandable.
- Valid MA driver’s license
- Ability to drive a wheelchair accessible van
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Commitment to providing support/advocacy to individuals who are challenged by a disability
- Knowledge of community resources
- Ability to assess the skills and needs of individuals served
- Ability to understand and present reports on supports provided
- Understanding of the DDS system and its documentation requirements including but not limited to ISP preparation, incident reporting and daily record keeping.
- Understanding of assistive technology
- Ability to assist in implementation of PBS Plans
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Certification in MAP
- At least 2 years experience in residential management
Professional Development/Training:
- Certification in CPR/First Aid
- Certification in Safety Care
- Minimum of 20 hours of training (both live and online) annually as assigned by supervisor
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour
