General Description
Teachers, as members of a classroom teaching team, under the supervision of a Lead Teacher, plan for an assigned small group and the individual children comprising that small group. The Teacher is responsible for all classroom functioning in the absence of the Lead Teacher.
Programmatic Responsibilities
Assist in maintaining a stimulating and nurturing classroom environment.
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate classroom activities and teaching strategies.
Develop weekly plans for assigned small group.
Complete all required parent reports for children in assigned small group.
Help to organize and maintain classroom order, equipment, and materials
Participate in child assessment and utilize information to develop individual plans for children in assigned small group.
Help to organize and maintain classroom order, equipment, and materials.

Help complete goals of annual classroom Action Plan.
Actively participate in Team, curriculum and other classroom meetings.
Support the implementation of licensing and accreditation requirements.
Follow all agency policies and procedures and document as required.
Daily communication with Lead Teacher regarding activities, incidents and concerns.
Complete annual professional development plan.
Attend all required meetings and trainings.
All other duties assigned by Lead Teacher or Center Director.
Family Communication Responsibilities
Maintain open and supportive communication with families.
Hold the required number of family conferences for children in assigned small group.
Participate in family events at the Center.
Support all family involvement activities.

Monday to Friday
