We are hiring a Security Guard to join our team at South Shore Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Rockland!Shift is weekends 9a-9p and Monday and Friday 6p-8p. We strive to create a workplace where your skills and talents are nurtured to allow you to grow within the company.You assure the safety and security of the residents, employees, facility, facility grounds, and equipment, as well as take residents to and from smoking breaks.Education & Experience:High school diploma or its equivalent.Security experience and/or a general background in repairs and maintenance.Duties and Responsibilities:Assist residents with smoking, lighting materials, and helping with transportation to and from the designated smoking areas.Maintain a clean and safe smoking area.Ensure a safe environment for residents, staff, visitors, and all personnel on the property.Specific Requirements:Must be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language.Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism.Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.Must have general knowledge of repair and maintenance practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines as they pertain to long-term care.Must be willing to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.Must have patience, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult situations using effective problem-solving techniques.About Athena Health Care Systems:Since its establishment in 1984, Athena Health Care Systems has pioneered the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.
