Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks across various areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Conduct janitorial duties such as trash removal, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces efficiently.
- Assist with floor care activities including buffing, polishing, and applying protective coatings to ensure floors are safe and visually appealing.
- Support custodial operations by using industrial cleaning equipment and supplies to handle specialized cleaning projects.
- Maintain facilities by performing light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, repairing fixtures, or reporting larger repairs needed.
- Support residential painting projects or touch-ups when required to enhance the appearance of the facility.
- Follow safety protocols and proper procedures during all custodial and maintenance activities to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in cleaning, janitorial work, custodial services or facilities maintenance is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and floor care procedures such as buffing and polishing.
- Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery safely.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Nice-to-have skills include residential painting experience and familiarity with custodial or industrial cleaning standards.
