What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Process Improvement Project Manager - temporary position position at South Shore Health?
South Shore Health is hiring a Senior Project Manager, Operational Excellence/Process Improvement to lead high-impact initiatives that transform how care is delivered and supported across our system. This is a temporary, 6-month role.

Candidates must reside in MA, RI, CT or NH to be considered. Onsite position, flexibility w/ working hours/remote days.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead enterprise-level projects that improve operational performance across clinical and business teams
- Drive implementation of a Daily Management System (DMS) — including tiered huddles, visual boards, and escalation pathways
- Design and standardize workflows using Lean methodologies and process improvement tools
- Coach leaders on data-driven decision-making, problem-solving, and continuous improvement
- Build dashboards and track KPIs across productivity, financial, and patient experience metrics
- Partner with executives and cross-functional teams to deliver measurable results
What We’re Looking For:
- 5–7 years of project management experience leading complex initiatives
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologies
- Strong ability to influence stakeholders and lead change in a matrixed environment
- Skilled in data analysis, KPI tracking, and performance improvement
- Healthcare experience strongly preferred
