South Shore Early Education and Care is a program of the South Shore Community Action Council - a private non-profit providing multi-level program support on the South Shore, Cape and Islands, South Shore Early Education and Care in Plymouth seeks a full-time Teacher Assistant Preschool EEC candidate, 37.50 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Monday to Friday 9:30am to 5:00 pm. No nights or weekends, salary commensurate with licenses, degree and experience, excellent employee benefits package, paid employee lunch break, in service training. Base pay rate $20.88/hr. with EEC certification, $21.00/hr. with CDA.
POSITION: 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Core Responsibilities:
Develop and implement daily lesson & curriculum plans using creative curriculum. Assist the Teacher to create and maintain a safe and healthy physical environment that fosters physical, emotional, and cognitive development. Perform assistant teaching activities that align with the EEC and Head Start Performance Standards regulations. Meal assistance, Bus Monitoring, and other various activities as assigned.
Core Qualifications:
Commonwealth of Massachusetts EEC teacher certification required. Associate degree in early childhood preferred, CDA considered. Must be able to speak and understand English.
