Bus Driver

• QUALIFICATIONS**:
  
  

Must be able to obtain a Commercial Driving License with a passenger and school endorsement

• Must possess a valid drivers' card issued by the MS Department of Education
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  
  

**PRIMARY JOB GOAL**

• Transport students over a specified route according to time schedule
• Comply with traffic regulations
• Provide save and efficient transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest advantage for curriculum and extra- curricular program.
• Reasonable or needed accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  
  

Essential Job Duties

• Drives a school bus safely and professionally
• Performs and properly completes daily pre-trip inspections
• Complies with all traffic ordinances
• Complies with discipline policies set forth in the School Code of Conduct for Transportation
• Participates in on-site training
• Shows proficiency in handling and maneuvering school bus
• Able to pass driver license checks run annually at a minimum. Driver must meet these standards
• Must pass State Skill Test and State Written Test
• Able to pass physical and drug test

**SUPERVISORY REPSONSIBILITIES**

• Supervises students while transporting them.
• Supervises bus monitor when one is assigned to the bus.
