Dishwasher / Deep Cleaner

We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Dishwasher / Deep Cleaner to keep our dishes, equipment, and restaurant clean, sanitized, and ready for the next day.
This role goes beyond washing dishes. Deep cleaning the restaurant every single night is a core responsibility. The right person takes pride in thorough work and consistently completes the nightly cleaning checklist.
Responsibilities
Dishwashing and sanitation
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen tools.
- Keep the dish area organized and prevent dirty items from contaminating clean items.
- Clean dishwashing equipment, sinks, racks, and surrounding surfaces at the end of each shift.
- Store clean dishes and equipment in their designated locations.
Nightly restaurant deep cleaning
- Complete the assigned deep-cleaning checklist every night.
- Sweep, scrub, and mop floors, including corners, edges, and accessible areas underneath and behind equipment.
- Remove grease, food buildup, and debris from assigned kitchen surfaces, equipment exteriors, backsplashes, and work areas.
- Clean and sanitize food-contact surfaces using approved procedures.
- Clean floor drains and drain covers according to restaurant procedures.
- Thoroughly clean restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, fixtures, and floors; restock supplies.
- Clean assigned dining areas, service stations, doors, and high-touch surfaces.
- Empty trash and recycling, clean bins, replace liners, and clean the waste collection area.
- Leave all assigned areas clean, organized, dry where required, and ready for opening.
Safety and accountability
- Follow chemical labels, sanitation procedures, and required protective-equipment practices. Never mix cleaning chemicals.
- Clean equipment only after it has been safely shut down and cooled, following training and manufacturer instructions.
- Move equipment only when trained and authorized to do so.
- Report maintenance problems, leaks, pest activity, and cleaning-supply shortages promptly.
- Complete a nightly checklist and participate in a closing walkthrough with the supervisor. Report any unfinished work before leaving.
Qualifications
- Dependable attendance and reliable availability for closing shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to perform thorough cleaning every night.
- Ability to follow a checklist, work independently, and communicate with the team.
- Ability to work around heat, moisture, and cleaning products while following safety procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, and handle dish racks, trash bags, and cleaning equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Previous restaurant, dishwashing, or commercial-cleaning experience preferred; training available.
What Success Looks Like
Every morning, the restaurant is ready for the team to begin work: dishes are clean and stored, floors and assigned surfaces are free of grease and food buildup, restrooms are clean and stocked, trash is removed, and the nightly cleaning checklist has been completed and checked.
Pay: $13.25 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 45.0 per week
