Seeking 1 Full time Veterinary Assistant or Technician at Beachside's first veterinary clinic, South Patrick Animal Hospital.
Here at South Patrick Animal Hospital, we provide quality care to dogs, cats and small mammals with traditional medicine as well as holistic care options which includes acupuncture and chiropractic adjustments.
Compassion and integrity are a must
Daily duties include basic phone and computer use, house cleaning, patient check-in, animal handling, exam room assistance, sample collection including fecal, urine and learning blood collection if not yet experienced. As basic skills progress, advanced training would include laboratory and surgery skills will be trained in which include microbiology, surgical prep, anesthesia monitoring, IV catheter placement as well as induction and intubation.
1 years in animal care experience is required
*Veterinary experience preferred

Schedule will vary but can expect a range of 32-35 hours per week. Work week is typically Monday-Friday with 1 weekday off and no weekend shifts.
