Position Title: Focus Facilitator
Qualifications
- Maintains a current substitute certificate or teaching certificate
- Ability to work with children and effectively supervise them in all school setting activities.
- Ability to communicate and work well with others including students, teachers, and administrators

- Work Schedule: 9 Months/ Monday-Friday
- Hours to Work: 7.5
General Responsibilities:
Focus Facilitators work with students who are having difficulty in the classroom setting to learn how to regulate their emotions and modify their behavior in order to better focus on their schoolwork and adapt to situations.
Essential Job Duties:
- Provide a safe and quiet atmosphere for students.
- Provide supervision applicable to student behavior.
- Provide tutoring for all subject matter as needed.
- Maintain contact with students and teachers regarding assignments and special needs, etc.
- Maintain daily, monthly, and annually records indicating admission by grade, admission by behavior.
- Maintains individual records of assignments received by students and those turned into teachers.
- Monitor individual behavior as determined by the team.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Demonstrate effective and positive interpersonal relationships with staff, students, and the community and the ability to work as a productive and solid member of the school district team.

Essential Physical and Mental Demands
- Duties performed typically in district settings to include the cafeteria, gym, recreational areas and other assigned areas.
- Physical demands can include but are not limited to: Exerts up to 40 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects including equipment such as audio-visual.
- Frequent walking, standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, and other limited physical activities are required.
- Mental demands can include but are not limited to: Comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, and synthesizing.
- Frequent movement of students by wheelchairs and other mechanical devices may be required.
