Position Overview
South Olive Christian School is seeking a creative, organized, and mission-driven Marketing Coordinator to support and enhance our communications, branding, and community engagement efforts. This role plays a key part in sharing the story of our school, strengthening our presence, and helping attract and retain families who align with our Christ-centered mission.
Key Responsibilities
Content & Communications
- Create and manage content for social media platforms, website, newsletters, and email campaigns
- Write engaging, mission-aligned copy that reflects the voice and values of South Olive Christian
- Capture and share stories, testimonials, and highlights from students, staff, and events
Brand Management
- Ensure consistent branding across all materials (digital and print)
- Assist in developing marketing campaigns for admissions, events, and school initiatives
- Maintain and update marketing assets (photos, videos, graphics, brochures)
Admissions & Enrollment Support
- Collaborate with admissions to promote enrollment efforts
- Assist in planning and marketing open houses, tours, and community events
- Track and report on campaign performance and engagement metrics
Event Promotion
- Promote school events through multiple channels
- Coordinate marketing materials and communication timelines for events
- Support event execution when needed
Digital Presence
- Maintain and update the school website
- Monitor social media engagement and respond as appropriate
- Stay current on marketing trends and suggest new ideas for growth
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1–3 years of marketing, communications, or social media experience preferred
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Experience with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and basic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe, etc.)
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Job Requirements
- Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that is evident in daily life and interactions
- Faithfully attend and financially support a local church aligned with South Olive Christian School’s beliefs
- Agree to uphold the South Olive Christian School Statement of Faith
- Demonstrate enthusiasm for working with Pre-school -Eighth Grade students
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Exhibit strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Show initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to respond with discretion in various situations
Technical & Professional Skills
- Skilled in Canva, Google Drive (Gmail,Docs, Forms, Sheets)
- Experience with Meta cross-posting (Facebook/Instagram) required
- Familiarity with Constant Contact (or similar email platforms)
- Website management experience preferred
- Adobe Lightroom experience is a plus
