Dental Assistant (DA or RDA)

We are looking for a DA with Coronal Polish, X-Ray and 8-hour Infection Control Certificates Or an RDA to work with our long term team - once you start working here you never want to leave! As a partner to the dentist the dental assistant supports dental care delivery by assisting in the performance of dental procedures and carrying out the day-to-day operations of the back office. For more information about our practice, visit our website www.WhereSmilesStart.comEssential Job Functions:Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment in accordance with the provisions of the Dental Practice Act.Support the patient by providing exceptional interpersonal and technical skills in the delivery of information and care as it relates to receiving treatment.Participate in the achievement of patient satisfaction by working efficiently and providing a high level of patient service. Prepare treatment room and execute proper tray set up by following prescribed procedures and protocols.Take Radiographs and perform selective Coronal Polishing Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential in accordance with HIPAA.Ensure proper operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.Record patient medical and dental histories and treatment information. Provide postoperative instructions as prescribed and directed by the dentist or other health care provider.Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements:• Current California RDA license OR DA with Coronal Polish Certificate, Xray Certificate and 8-Hour Infection Control Certificate. • Good communication skills.• Ability to perform detailed work according to established formats and protocols.Preferred Requirements• Working knowledge of Dentrix and Dexis dental software.Skills:PediatricCoronal PolishingDigital X-raysDentrixCompensation:$25-$32/hour
