Varsity Girls Wrestling Coach
Southmont High School is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and knowledgeable individual to lead our Varsity Girls Wrestling program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in athletics and academics, player development, sportsmanship, and building a positive team culture.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the varsity girls wrestling program
- Organize and conduct effective practices, training sessions, and competition strategies
- Foster an environment that emphasizes teamwork, personal growth, and character development
- Develop athletes at all skill levels, with attention to proper technique, conditioning, and injury prevention
- Coordinate with the athletic department, assistant coaches, and other school staff
- Ensure compliance with IHSAA rules and school policies
- Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes both on and off the mat
Qualifications:
- Prior coaching experience in wrestling
- Strong knowledge of wrestling rules, techniques, and safety protocols
- Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Must pass a background check per school district policy
