South Miami CritiCare seeks a Full-Time EM Physician, BC/BE, to join our Independent Emergency Medical practice serving in the EDs of the renowned Baptist Health South Florida Hospital System.
- This is a W-2, Full-Time Emergency Medicine Physician position
- Productivity Incentive Bonus paid monthly when earned
- Paid Night Shift Differential, Call-In and Holiday Pay
- Three weeks of paid vacation and Longevity Bonus in the 4th, 7th, and 10th year of employment

You will be credentialed to serve in the ED at Baptist South Miami Hospital and West Kendall Baptist Hospital.
South Miami Hospital is a 467-bed community hospital that was opened in 1960 and has been Magnet Certified since 2004. In 2012, was named “Best Hospital” in south Florida, number 15 in Florida and number 5 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale by US News and World Report. The hospital is also a Primary Stroke Center and the site for the Miami Cardiovascular Institute, Center of Excellence for Heart Failure, Bariatric Medicine and Minimally Invasive Gynecology. The hospital is also a teaching facility for the Florida International University College of Medicine. A new ED wing was added in 2013 expanding the ED to 39 beds. We see a stable 40,000 patients per year with high acuity. We are supported daily by 24-hour Hospitalists and Intensivists, as well we have 24-hour OB coverage. We staff Emergency Physician and APP coverage daily utilizing a mix of different shift hours along with employer-paid Scribe support.
West Kendall Baptist Hospital opened in 2011 in a growing community and now features 203 private rooms and provides care for adult medical and surgical services, including a separate critical care unit and an Emergency Department with 69 private treatment rooms. The hospital opened a Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology in 2023. West Kendall Baptist Hospital was named one of the most beautiful hospitals in Florida and is a U.S. News and World Report Honor Roll member, is LEED and Magnet certified and serves as a Primary Stroke Center and a Center of Excellence for Heart Failure. It has earned the VHA Leadership Award for Clinical Leadership and the Lantern Award for Nursing Excellence. Patient volumes exceed 50,000 in a growing community while serving as a Primary teaching facility for Florida International University College of Medicine and Family Medicine residency. We staff Emergency Physician and APP coverage daily utilizing a mix of different shift hours along with employer-paid Scribe support.
