Job Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Camp Counselors. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a fun and safe environment for children to learn and grow. This is a paid position that offers valuable experience working with children in a camp setting.
Duties:
- Educate and engage campers through a variety of activities, such as arts and crafts, sports, theater, and games
- Provide supervision and ensure the safety of campers at all times
- Assist with planning and implementing daily schedules and activities
- Foster positive relationships with campers by providing guidance, support, and encouragement
- Manage behavior and promote positive social interactions among campers
- Collaborate with other counselors and camp staff to create a cohesive team environment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of camp facilities
Skills:
- Childcare experience, including babysitting or early childhood education
- Ability to effectively manage a group of children in a classroom or camp setting
- Experience working with children of various ages and backgrounds
- Strong communication skills to interact with campers, parents, and staff members
- Knowledge of theater or performing arts is a plus
- Ability to provide tutoring or academic support is beneficial
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with patience and empathy
