CSR/Agent Assistant

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm (30 minute lunch)
Essential duties:
- Provide customer service to clients; including acting as a liaison between client and carrier, assisting with claims, plan benefits and operations, enrollments, cancellations and billings, etc.
- Communicate with carriers to process claims, quote renewals, negotiate rates, obtain quotes, and complete transition for new business.
- Process enrollments, cancellations, changes and submit to carrier for processing.
- Submit plan changes and amendment request to carriers and ensure completeness.
- Continuously follow up on outstanding claims (medical, life, dental, vision, disability, etc.), maintain notes and communication to client until processed, paid and closed.
- Ensure emails and faxes are properly processed at all times.
- Accompany agent to client meetings when requested.
- Prepare marketing materials such as employee packets, brochures, and plan summaries as needed by agents for all groups.
- Process filing on electronic filing system. Maintain electronic enrollment system.
- Back up other office positions, including switchboard when required.
- Assist agents as requested.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications of Job:
- High school diploma.
- Interest in pursuing Louisiana Life, Health, and Accident License.
- Employee benefit or insurance experience preferred.
- Computer experience with Microsoft Office systems.
- Must be a self-starter, able to multitask, have attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Requirements:
While performing duties, the employee is required to sit, stoop, lift up to 10 pounds, type, the ability to communicate effectively with others, and may be required to work evenings and/or weekends, attend remote meetings/trainings and/or travel.
