What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Advisor Assistant position at SOUTH LOUISIANA BANK?
Job Responsibilities:
- Receive calls, emails & faxes from clients and assist with any questions and problems including but not limited to retirement plans, investment accounts, and operations for the investment division.
- Interact with product sponsors/broker dealer by phone, email, or fax to obtain information for clients, open new accounts, process transactions, and obtain proposals or quotes when necessary.
- Review new account, transfer, and/or distribution forms etc. for completeness. Obtain missing information from client, process online or submit to broker dealer/carrier for processing.
- Follow up with product sponsors/broker dealer to make sure all paperwork, checks, and/or transfers are submitted and in good order.
- Process filing on electronic filing system.
- Input and or update client info in CRM and maintain detailed notes.
- Prepare reports for client meetings.
- Accompany advisor to client meetings when requested.
- Attend training, meetings and seminars as requested.
- Assist with answering phones and back up other office positions when required.
- Assist advisor as requested.
- Have capabilities to drive to other office locations.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Excellent phone etiquette and verbal communication skills
- Financial Services experience preferred.
- Computer experience with knowledge of Windows, Excel, and Word.
- Must be a self-starter, quick learner, be able to multitask, and have the ability to work with minimal supervision and to deal effectively and professionally with clients.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Job Requirements:
While performing duties, the employee is required to sit, stoop, lift up to 5 pounds, type, the ability to communicate effectively with others, and may be required to work evenings and/or weekends, attend remote meetings/trainings and/or travel.
