What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chiropractic Therapy Assistant or CCPA position at South Lake Wellness & Injury Center?
Job Title: Chiropractic Rehab Therapist
Certified Chiropractic Physician Assistant's will be given strong priority!
South Lake Wellness & Injury Center – Clermont, FL
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Rehab Therapist to join our team at South Lake Wellness & Injury Center. If you have a background in exercise science, kinesiology, or personal training and love helping people get back to feeling their best, we’d love to meet you.
This is a hands-on role where you are a key part of the patient’s recovery journey. We aren't just looking for someone to run through the motions; we want someone who is organized, friendly, and genuinely cares about clinical excellence.
The Day-to-Day:
You’ll be working directly with our patients and our Chiropractors to keep the clinic running smoothly. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Clinical Intake: Being the first clinical point of contact by taking patient vitals and documenting detailed medical histories to ensure the doctor has everything they need.
- Patient Rehab: Guiding patients through their prescribed exercises or stretching, emphasizing correct form, and keeping the energy positive.
- Therapeutic Modalities: Setting up and administering treatments like Piezowave, laser therapy, HEIT and decompression.
- Manual Therapy: Performing manual therapy as directed by the DC.
- Documentation: Keeping accurate, real-time notes in our EMR (Eclipse/Rapid Docs). We’re sticklers for detail here, especially when it comes to time-tracking and medical necessity.
- Clinic Flow: Helping with referrals (MRIs/MDs), handling medical records requests, and keeping the rehab area and treatment rooms clean and tidy.
What We’re Looking For:
- Priority, and hirer pay, will be given to those with Certified Chiropractic Physician's Assistant licenses.
- A professional with a nationally accredited Personal Trainer Certification OR an Associate’s Degree in a related field (Exercise Science, Kinesiology, etc.).
- You understand anatomy and biomechanics—you know why a specific movement helps a specific injury.
- You’re tech-savvy (or a quick learner) with EMR systems and Microsoft Office.
- You’re a multitasker who stays calm when the clinic gets busy.
- You’re willing to help out with the "un-glamorous" stuff, like keeping the space tidy and taking out the trash, to keep the office looking professional.
The Details:
- Pay: $21.00 per hour to start.
- Growth Opportunity: We will pay for you to get your Basic X-ray Operator License. Once you’re licensed, you’ll get an immediate $2.00/hour raise.
- Benefits: PTO after 90 days
- Schedule: * Mon & Wed: 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM (with a lunch break)
- Tue & Thu: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (with a lunch break)
- Fri: 7:45 AM – 2:00 PM
- Location: 2745 Citrus Tower Blvd, Clermont, FL.
