The City of South Jordan is hiring a Part-Time Passport Agent/Records Technician to support our new Passport Acceptance Facility and Records Division. What You'll Do:
- Assist residents with passport application processing and ensure compliance with U.S. Department of State guidelines.
- Deliver excellent customer service and help guide applicants through the passport acceptance process.
- Support the Records Division by organizing, scanning, and indexing official city documents.
- Respond to records requests and assist with the preparation of public documents under GRAMA guidelines.
- Participate in the day-to-day operations of the City Recorder's Office and maintain confidentiality in all duties.
Who You Are:
- You are professional, reliable, and customer-focused.
- You enjoy helping people and are comfortable working in a fast-paced administrative environment.
- You are detail-oriented and able to handle sensitive information with care and discretion.
- You are a U.S. citizen and can meet the following requirements:
- Willing to obtain BCI Certification within 6 months
- Eligible to become a Utah Notary Public within 6 months
- Must be authorized as a Passport Acceptance Agent upon hire
Preferred: Experience in customer service, clerical or administrative work, or records management.
